About Fort Harrod Beef Festival

Kentucky’s Fort Harrod Beef Festival started in 2005 with just a group of ideas. The festival is designed to showcase Kentucky’s beef industry. Kentucky is the largest beef cattle producing state east of the Mississippi, and ranks 8th in US production. We are in the business of promoting and educating the public about the production, distribution, and selling of beef from the farm to the marketplace.

If you are looking for a fun, exciting and educational weekend full of activities; then the Fort Harrod Beef Festival is the place to be! We have a range of activities, and many center around a delicious array of beef. There are activities to suit many different interests and ages. We would love to have you come be a part of our festival!

The Beef Festival committee is currently planning this year’s festival, which will be held June 10 - 11, 2016. If you would like to volunteer, serve on a committee, or be an arts and crafts exhibitor, please call Dana Anderson at 859-734-4378 or Linda McClanahan at 859-734-4378. You may also join us at our regular meetings, the 1st Thursday of every month, at the Mercer County Extension Office. THERE IS TRULY SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!

The Fort Harrod Beef Festival would also like to thank all of our sponsors for the time and money that is donated to make this festival successful.
